Humans Of Envera: Ashley Powell
Ashley Powell is a Patient Access Coordinator in Envera’s Engagement Call Center. A working mom and wife to a First Responder, Ashley finds meaning in being the critical link that connects patients to the care they need, especially during difficult times. We are proud to have her on our team.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
“I would have to say my husband. He had a tough upbringing and at a young age his mother passed away but he overcame it and developed a love and a passion for helping others. He was a volunteer firefighter and turned that into a 19-year career [as a professional firefighter]. He’s inspired me to help others.”
What do you like most about working at Envera?
“I love helping patients find special doctors and aiding them when they’re in a bad spot. Right now is a very difficult time with our patients because of the virtual appointments. It’s humbling to me that I can still connect patients with their providers even through the pandemic.”
What’s the biggest challenge you face working at Envera?
“Our team has open communication and we are supported by the entire team, especially supervisors if we need to work through issues, but [working remotely] it’s hard not seeing everyone.”
“I’m proud to help people every day, even when it’s a simple need. I lean on my family during hard times, especially now. I’m a working mom and now a teacher, they are my rock.”
